Evidence-based practices are services that have been studied and proven to be effective at change or making a difference in someones life, simply put evidence-based practiced is healthcare services that are backed up by science!
In the field of psychology there are many different Evidence-based therapies that different therapist will use, based on their specialty and interest to treat. Therapist don't just listen to help, they are practicing scientifically proven techniques, to help you change and achieve your goals!
